About our Washable & Reusable 3-Layer Protective Face Masks
Our Washable & Reusable 3-Layer Protective Face masks are Made in North America utilizing a specialized fluid-repellent material, air filtration fabric, and internal cotton liner to provide maximum barrier protection against large particle droplets, splashes, or sprays that may contain germs (viral and bacterial) from reaching a person’s nose or mouth. Comfortable and easy to wear, these masks allow maximum air flow, offer superior barrier protection and can be used for extended periods of time even after repeated washings. The protective face mask is effective on its own, or can be paired with an N95 to extend the life of the N95 when used for medical purposes.
About our Shift to Making Face Masks
In the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic, Denali shifted efforts from making your favorite high-quality blankets to producing protective face masks to help front-line medical workers. On March 17th the president of our company (Dan Sinykin) tasked management teams with researching and developing a face mask that was protective, reusable, and comfortable to wear. Dan understands the importance of wearing face masks because he and his family actually contracted COVID-19 while traveling through an airport around this time, so he wanted to do everything he could to help others stay safe.
While production started off slow with the facility only being able to produce about 1,000 face masks per day, things quickly ramped up and we are now producing approximately 65,000 face masks per day. In fact, we’re now producing enough masks to make them available for consumers and businesses while continuing to supply hospitals and senior living centers across the nation.
How Face Masks Help Slow the Spread of COVID-19
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus), the CDC recommends people (with the exception of children under 2) wear a protective face mask or cloth covering to cover their mouth and nose any time they must go to a public setting in addition to social distancing measures. This will help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by limiting the ability of the virus to spread through respiratory droplets released from coughing, sneezing, or even talking in a community setting. Even if you do not have currently have symptoms, wearing a mask will help protect others around you in case you are infected but are not displaying symptoms.
How to Wash Our Reusable 3-Ply Protective Face Mask
Based on CDC guidelines for cloth face masks, we recommend washing our Washable & Reusable 3-Layer Protective Face Mask after each use. When washing with a machine, use hot water and tumble dry on low. Our reusable face masks are made to be washed and worn multiple times, and may last up to six months with proper care.
